Returning citizen housing

A Stable Place to Live Can Change the Reentry Process.

We provide independent, non-licensed, non-medical housing for qualified returning citizens age 62 and older who are 100% ambulatory, capable of independent living, and have an appropriate verified income or housing-funding source — with structure, employment or retirement-income stability, and community reintegration coordinated through referral partners and the Placement Desk.

What housing with us looks like

Independent Living With Real Support Around It.

Independent housing

Stable, appropriate non-licensed, non-medical housing for qualified returning citizens age 62+ capable of independent living — furnished where applicable, with utilities where applicable.

Employment connection

Connection to workforce resources and employment partners who support financial independence.

Community reintegration

A path back into community life — structured expectations, transportation considerations, and external service partnerships.

We are a housing organization. Lorinthian's House NC provides non-licensed, non-medical housing for qualified adults age 62 and older who are 100% ambulatory, capable of independent living, and have an appropriate verified income or housing-funding source. We do not perform probation or parole supervision, monitoring, reporting, or clinical treatment. Those responsibilities stay with the supervising authority and service providers.

Referral process

Making a Referral

Probation and parole officers, reentry programs, correctional case managers, veteran caseworkers, families, and workforce partners can all submit a referral for a qualified returning citizen age 62+. We run a two-stage screening: a quick preliminary-fit and funding check here, then private placement screening if preliminarily qualified.

All placements are subject to screening and applicable program criteria. Submission does not guarantee placement.

Stage 1 — a short housing-fit and funding check for a returning citizen age 62+.

Our housing model — a few quick checks

This is housing — not assisted living, senior care, adult care, nursing, memory care, or personal-care housing.

Funding

Applicants must demonstrate an appropriate verified income or funding source sufficient for the applicable housing arrangement. Age 62 does not automatically qualify anyone for any benefit.
